FRIENDSHIP
At first there is a little spark
Flying from one to another heart
There is a name for this curiosity

STILL
Last night I had a dream, like Martin Luther King
A dream of no judgment based on the color of our skin
A dream of globalization uniting all the nations
Providing all with equal opportunities and education
I dreamt of a planet where nature could breathe again
And flowers grew on what was made a barren land by man
When I woke, we were still fighting ‘bout religion, race and dough
Exploiting all our resources, like there is no tomorrow
We’re still standing on a mountain of skeletons and waste
We build temples for our money and still don’t feel ashamed
Last night I had a dream I made me actually believe
Believe in truth and people saying what they really mean
A belief in people’s empathy and everybody’s dignity
We all lived in prosperity in a world of equality
I believed in politicians standing up for the environment
And decisions based on justice and not on an economic trend
When I woke, we were still screaming our God’s better than theirs
But it was actually just all about oil, gas, fonts and shares
We’re still standing on a mountain of skeletons and waste
We build temples for our money and still don’t feel ashamed
Last night I had a nightmare, it made me gasp for air
It included nuclear warfare and destruction everywhere
A nightmare ‘bout globalization dividing all the nations
And no hope for equality, prosperity or free migration
I dreamt of a planet where we tortured and killed again
And the waters, parks and sky were toxic from our poison
When I woke, we were still helping even people we don’t know
We still fought to make a better world for the children of tomorrow
We can still stand up on a mountain and be touched by what we see
We build shelters for the needy, save animals and plant trees
We still show love for our neighbors and stand against all kinds of haters
We are compassionate and selfless and can be at our best behavior
